Proper use of the appliance:
The battery energy storage system may only be installed and operated indoors. The operating temperature range of the BOS-G is -20°C ≈ 55°C and the maximum humidity is 85%. The battery module must not be exposed to sunlight or placed directly next to a heat source.
The battery module must not be exposed to a corrosive environment.
When installing the battery energy storage system, make sure that it is placed on a sufficiently dry and level surface with sufficient support. The installation site must not exceed an altitude of 2,000 metres without the written consent of the manufacturer. The output power of the battery decreases with altitude.
In areas subject to flooding, ensure that the battery module is installed at a suitable altitude. Do not allow it to come into contact with water.
The battery energy storage system must be installed in a fireproof room. This room must be free of any source of fire and must be equipped with an independent fire alarm device that complies with the local applicable codes and standards. According to local applicable regulations, the room must be separated by a T60 fire door. Similar fire protection requirements apply to other openings in the room (e.g. windows).
Compliance with the specifications in this manual is also part of the proper use of the appliance.
The use of the BOS-G system is prohibited in the following cases:
- Mobile use on land or in the air (use on water only with the consent of the manufacturer and with the written permission of the manufacturer).
- Use in medical devices.
- Use as an uninterruptible power supply.
