Hybrid inverter Deye SUN-8KSG02LP1-EU 8 kW is a grid-tie hybrid, part of it works as a grid-tie inverter, whose main task is to convert solar energy into alternating current 220V 50Hz. The inverter’s power output to the grid is 8000 W. The inverter can work in the Green Tariff system or to compensate for your own consumption at home. For example, if you have a feed-in tariff, then the inverter will use all the energy available from the sun to meet the needs of the house, charge the battery, and send the surplus to the external grid. If you do not have the opportunity or desire to issue a PPA, then by activating the ban on the sale of surplus, the Deye inverter will generate exactly as much solar energy as needed to cover the needs of consumers. Working with the battery.

The battery may have a CAN or RS485 synchronisation port, in which case the inverter will recognise the battery and receive data on capacity, remaining charge, required charging current, and temperature. If the battery does not support the synchronisation function with the inverter, you can set all parameters manually. The parameters are set both in measured values and as a percentage. It is possible to specify the discharge current to limit the battery’s operating parameters, select a charge source, select an individual mode for each source, send a signal to external devices, and set daily charging modes.

The fact is that the manufacturer has laid down the functionality of this port, it can be both an input and an output. And it has three options for use:

The inverter has an LCD display with touch control, all settings, control, and configuration are carried out through the display. Also, statistics on the generation produced by the sun, delivered to the consumer and to the grid are available on the basic LCD display.
